Hi all,

I am looking at buying a Umi Super, but all the outlets I have seen that sell it, only have it with a EU (2 pin) charger.
I have look around and tried to find a Mediatek PumpExpress Plus charger with a UK plug but cant find one anywhere.

Is anyone able to point me to somewhere that sells them?

Seems a shame to buy the phone and not be able to use the quick charging.

Hi,

PE quick chargers are available only with EU and US plugs anywhere on the market. However, you  ...

that explains why i cant find any with a UK plug then ! thanks for the info.
I have seen the rock one, and have a few of the travel adapters already so should be ok with them.

I assume that I can also charge the phone using a standard 5V 1A charger with a USB-c cable, but it wont be as quick ?

Hi,

PE quick chargers are available only with EU and US plugs anywhere on the market. However, you can get a cheap adaptor to make your stock charger usable.
Link to an example: http://bit.ly/2d4Nhqp
If you're interested, the ROCK Quick Charger is also fully compatible with UMi Super

Yes, you can use a standard 5V adapter but in that case a 2A one is recommended if you don't want to take the risk of burning your charger.

the spec on the umi super doesnt provide details of standard charging, rather than quick charge.

so just wondering if a 5v 2a or a 5v 2.1a would better?

Would something like the following be any good?

5V 2.1A
https://www.7dayshop.com/product ... v-2-1a-WH2-USB2TC2A

or

5V 2A
https://www.7dayshop.com/product ... lack-WH2-ETA-U90UBE

and a USB-C cable such as:

https://www.7dayshop.com/product ... xus-etc-WH2-USBCADC

I will have a quick charger supplied in the box at home with a travel adapter, but in the office etc it would be good to have a standard charger, but dont want the phone or charger to overheat or have problems.

At 5V the UMi Super can pull out about a maximum of 1.7A current from a standard charger, so a 2A one might be enough. However, even if you use a stronger charger, that won't cause overheating. Just avoid to use a weaker one since that can cause the overheating of the charger itself.
That Type-C cable might be good or here's another one, that's been tested and all the 3 sizes works perfectly with UMi Super.
