Hi,
I am having serious Wi-Fi connection issues. I am currently situated in France for a couple of weeks (hence on roaming network). Otherwise,my simcard is from Norway. For the past 3-4 days (from when my mobile is on roaming network), I am facing serious issues with Wi-Fi disconnecting every 30 secs or so. I am not sure if this is something to do with roaming network (though it should not be so)...but that can only be confirmed once I return to Norway. Please suggest any solution to this.
In addition, my device is currently on the update from 10.08.2016. I have heard a new update has arrived recently. But has there been any update between this period as well or the update that has recently arrived is the next after the one from 10.08.2016? I am anyways not even able to download the update because of these Wi-Fi issues.

Looking forward to receiving a reply soon. Thanks in anticipation.

Best Regards,
Nakul.

try clicking on the network, clicking 'forget', then reconnecting from scratch, you'll need the password of course

Hi
I using two Sim card and one is all the time in roaming and I didn't have WiFi issue in older software 10.08.2016 and I don't have issue with WiFi on new software 23.09.2016. Maybe your WiFi provider have some issues with connections or WiFi is over loaded.

Hi,
    Thank you for your reply.

@mrrog: I tried doing as you suggested - no success. It still gets disconnected.
@MarcinP: I have not had issues previously while on roaming either. It has been for the past 10 days or so. But then I have a Teclast X98 Plus II tablet and that connects without any issues to the same wi-fi network without any issues. In addition, this has happened at not just one of the wi-fi spots...but literally each and every wi-fi hotspot. Seemed like some hardware issues to me

Hi,
    Thank you for your reply.

go to: settings, about phone, status
have you got an IP address, (20 character hexadecimal in 5 groups of 4)

have you got a wifi MAC address, (12 character hexadecimal in 6 groups of 2)

if either is missing then you need to re-set somehow, I have seen this problem before and recall there may be some solutions, you'd have to do a web search

Hi Mrrog,
Thanks once again for your reply. The issue was strange but it sorted out by itself after I did a hard reset. Honestly speaking, I have no idea why this happened in the first place, but it is sorted out finally
Thanks once again for your assistance. I will remember your trouble shooting technique if this weird thing happens again

Have a nice day ahead.

Best Regards,
Nakul
