UMI Max/ sim card not inserted

I just bought the UMI Max. After 3-4 days of nice working,now the system says "sim card not inserted". I pulled off and then inserted the card several times,but no way.
Suggestions?

The phone did not recognized sim cards from moment it came to me. Is it software or hardware bug?
