Good night, I received my phone at the begging of this year (2016/03/19). Purpouses of April, the touchscreen started to fail. The phone had already had some problems such so as black screen and auto-reboot which I solved. But this time is irrecoverable so I would like you to help me solve it. The video below explains the problem, but summing up, when I turn it on ( the phone) it appears a dot like if I already pressed the screen( but i dind't).
After 6 months of purchase, fed by the failure of the touchscreen, I replaced the touchscreen film without solving the problem.
The touchscreen whack, the lithium battery has swollen nearly double: I expect that in the coming days, during charging, the battery catching fire!
UMI: I'm happy to throw away this phone.
Shame because UMI ROME is nice and fast, but really unusable.
mfcamera - short time solution - take off back case, long time solution - change the battery to new one (you can search the forums for info about other model battery with higher capacity, If I remember correctly it was from Umi Hammer.)
pull of your battery and make it rotate over its center. im sure it rounds and rounds, because its fat in middle.
so. the battery press your tactil behind it.
if you remove back cover, your are minimizing pressure. but definitive solution is buy another battery, the umi hammer s batery, umi hammer s have the same dimensions but its 3200 mah instead our battery its 2500mha
