Hi,

I ordered the UMI Super last week. When I got it I will have a look at it.
I am experienced in Linux/Unix systems so I can take a shot at it.

It's possible but since there's no developer with a umi super that done it you would need to start from scratch creating a system image for the system to run on your umi super device.

I know that Ubuntu have system images for different devices on their servers, such as one plus 3 for instsance.

So don't listen to people that are totaly clueless in this matter and says it isn't possible.

I might sit down and look into this myself since it looks very interesting.

No one claimed it was impossible and you're the waste of space on this forum and are clueless. Without the kernel sources porting ubuntu to this device IS impossible so piss off you div.  Post time 2018-4-27 05:53

I am also very interested in this topic, I have Umi Super. I use linux for years, but I am not familiar with Android platform, so I have do not have balls to try it on my own. But I would love to have Ubuntu in my phone too.

I broke my Umi Super and am waiting for a replacement screen, when I have it back in working order I would be willing to test any work that other users might do to make this happen.
