Can someone please confirm whether this phone sports two speakers? Left side speaker holes on my device appear closed.

Only 1 speaker, the second one is just for cosmetic purposes to match the speaker. Most of the phones do this as well not just UMI. There's a few problems about having a dual speaker I believe.
