Hey all, I just recently got the UMi Touch and love it. I tried out basically all apps to check if all was right but I have 2 issues. 1. I noticed that the camera looks like someone painted it. I was shocked at first, made sure that the resolution was at max and took a picture. The preview window looks horrible, as I said as if someone painted it, it reminds me of Samsung's "beauty mode" set to the max. I tried all options that you could change in the settings but nothing worked. When taking a picture and looking at it, it does look pretty good, I will call it "solid". Keep in mind that I am not reffering to a grainy image in low light.

2. I was going to watch some Youtube videos and wanted to crank the resolution up to 1080p and noticed that I could on some videos and could not on others. I compared the videos on my Touch with my PC and noticed that all videos that are 60fps do not work on the UMi Touch. To watch the videos I have to watch them in measly 480p (because 480p is not in 60fps). My question is if the display is even 60hz and if yes how do I enable it for the Youtube app.
PS. I am running current firmware and newest apps.

Dear lukeszpunar,

Could you share some of your photos with us? Normally the photos captured by this camera quite doesn't look like paintings.

The video playback frame rate is limited to 30 fps by the CPU.

However I cannot confirm your statement about the limited resolution of 60 fps youtube videos. I can set the resolution of any 60 fps videos to 1080p. did you try to change the resolution manually?

Regards,
Bence

Hey and thank you very much, pictures captured with the camera do look good but im talking about the preview, what is on your screen before you take a picture. And for the 60fps issue I have 2 questions.
1. Is it possible to lift the 30fps limit of the CPU (I am not smartphone tech-savy)
2. How do you "manualy" change resolution. I press on the three dots in the top right corner of the screen and select 1080p and if the video is a 60fps video it can only go up to 480p because 480p is 30fps and 720p is 60fps.
Example:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3srpgIII7AI <--- NO 60FPS, 1080p works fine.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VeWk62C9Aqo <--- 60FPS, options only include Auto, 144p, 240p, 360p and 480p. On my PC I have 720p60 and 1080p60 as well but not on my phone

The camera preview will be laggy in low-light conditions due to the slower shutter speed.
1. No, that's not possible to break through the limitations of the hardware.
2. That's still possible to set 1080p in the 60fps video that you shared here. Watch my screen video.

Can you explain to me how you are able to do that because I only have 480p option (highest) when it comes to 60fps videos.
I will include screenshots as proof that im not trolling.

All settings on default. I did nothing outside the processes what you can see in my video. YouTube has location dependent restrictions but I've never heard of a such one. You don't have what to set differently in fact.

Hey all I dont know what happened but a factory reset did the trick. I can finally enjoy 1080p content. Thank you for the support (although I am still dissapointed about the 30fps lock)
