Problems

Hi,

I have a new Umi Touch, and i have this problems.

1) I live in Spain. Selected the phone lenguage to English. Every time i reboot, the phone lenguage changes to Spanish. !!!???
2) Using web browser, email, whatsapp..., i dont have the ENTER key on the keyboard.
3) I also have a Samsung tablet with Android 4.4.2. Lenguage in English, but for the voice commands, i can use Sapnish. How do i set up this in Android 6?

Dear,
#1.Because you live in Spain, so your SIM card is likely made by Spain manufacture, Umi Touch has this function to detect your SIM card and recommend the relative language for you.
#2. There are two options when you enter the Google broswer or other application, you can print your phone password or visit it by the fingerprint
#3. Sorry, which voice commands do you mean?

1) Ok, i don't want this function. how do i disable it?

2) I think you didn´t understand. In the keyboard, the ENTER key, doesn't exist. In Whatsapp, when you are typing a message, you hit ENTER to continue with the same message but in a new line.

3) for example: Searching in Google. Or if i use the bluetooth hands free.

And another problem detected today, is that the fingerprint stopped working.
FINGERPRINT CALIBRATION ended with error -31.

Rebooting the phone solved the problem

Point 2, solved!

Point 1, tested, and the problem is the SIM. Changed to a SIM from England, and the language changes to English.
Any clue on how to disable this annoying function?

Indeed this should be (function of lang) executed only at the first boot ! When I receive it, I will check it

Language feature of setting system language based on SIM card issuer is ridiculous. I travel a lot and use few SIMs from countrys with encritped alphabet (for me). Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Thai, other eastern languages are unreadable for me.

Then, I have discovered many further bugs.

1. The phone does not save some settings. For example I set Google keyboard, but after rebooting it changes back to Android one's. Some other settings impossible to change at all. So, I tick Hrvatska language by mistake and now can't remove it from settings
2. Some programs downloaded and installed are undeletable. Zero launcher as an example
3. Internet works from time to time. It took me 6 hrs for downloading OTA System update (30M) over wifi
4. Fingerprint scanner doesn't work at all
5. It is impossible to switch off mobile traffic. I tried every possible solution. It's unswitcheable.

Ultimately, I believed that my phone came with custom SWonboard, now I see that the phone might be unusable as it is

Dear,
For point 1, I need to confirm this requirment with our engineers.
For point 2, I tried to type a message in whatsup, there are no problem when I retype the same message, I attached the screenshots for you.
For points 3, did you press the home button when you collect your fingerprint? Don't press the Home button when your phone is collecting your fingerprint, just touch the button surface.

The point 3 is the problem with speaking language, not the fingerprint.
Anyway, the fingerprint was working ok before it crushed, so the fingerprint detection is ok, and NO, i do not press the button, i just touch it.

Buenas,

Si te refieres a los comandos de voz de google now, en los ajustes de la app puedes seleccionar el idioma. En el cajón de aplicaciones tendras una app llamada "Google", dentro de la app pulsas en el boton de menu (tres lineas arriba a la izquierda), ajustes, idioma de búsqueda.

Respecto a los problemas al reiniciar, a mi no me pasa (que yo sepa). Por ejemplo, tengo bajado y seleccionado el teclado de google y no cambia al reiniciar.

Y con lo de la tecla enter del teclado... ni idea, parece magia. Yo no tengo problemas con eso tampoco.

If you talk about the google now voice commands, you can switch the language in the app settings. In the app box you must have an app called "Google". Then, in the app, tap in the menu button (three lines in the top left corner), then settings, and search lenguaje.

About the reboot problems... I haven't got them. For example, I've installed the google keyboard, and it doesn't change when I reboot.

And the missing enter key... It looks like magic, I have no problems with that neither.

I have the same problem with the language. SIM is from Austria but our family are English speakers. But what do we get everytime the phone reboots ? German. When in Spain I change to a Spanish SIM but I want the language to remain English. Same for Hong Kong, Indonesia and Japan.  This is a serious programming error of UMI and must please be corrected.
