I've had my Emax Mini since Jan 8th, and I've been very happy with it, particularly the battery life which has been a revelation, until today.
I noticed that I'd let it run down a little, 29% and put it on charge. It seemed to have charged unusually quickly, in around 2 hours, but I took it off as soon as it had reached 100% and notified me.
However, after around 3 hours and having only made about 20-30 minutes of calls and little else, I noticed that it was back down to 29%. Looking at the battery stats, no apps had seemed to have put more than 1 or 2% drain on the battery, and it has been under the same conditions and in the same location as usual. Annoyingly, I didn't screenshot the stats before I put it on charge again, or found this forum.
Another thing that I noticed is that SMS messages I had sent, hadn't gone through. I rebooted the phone and they went, along with a bunch that I seemingly hadn't recieved. Whether this was the cause of the issue, constantly trying to send SMS and being unable, I don't know, but that problem seemed to clear with a reboot.
Now I may be jumping the gun, and this may have been an anomalous glitch, but I will be travelling in about 10 days, so the extended standby time that I've got used to could be important for me.
I may well be jumping the gun and reacting too quickly, but I wondered if there was a known issue, or anything that I need to watch out for, as performance-wise, my Emax Mini has gone from by far the best battery performance I've know on a smartphone, to about the worst that I have experienced (or at least tying with my old Nokia Lumia 920 on a bad day). I have not done anything extraordinary with it today, and although I installed a new app, that was prior to it's charge, as was my using of it (Canany), I didn't run it during the offending period, and it didn't show up in the battery use statistics anyway (just in case it had some annoying background functions).
Currently it is powered down and on charge again. Hopefully all will be well again, but if there is a known issue, I'd like to sort this out with my Amazon reseller ASAP, rather than let the issue drag on an suffer inconvenience, as I'm currently the point of contact for both a relative and a friend who are hospitalised.
I will update this thread to say whether this happens again, or it seems to be just a one-off occurance
Any tips or advice?
Wryly
