This is the SP Flash Tool release of the

V1.0_20210612 system software

for UMIDIGI A11 4GB/128GB

Flash tool operation is recommended to experienced users only. If you are not yet an experienced flash tool user, please carefully read the flash tool tutorial before proceeding, and strictly follow each instruction.

Except if an authorized or responsible expert directly asked you to do that,

never format the flash chip of your device or you instantly lose your warranty!

UMIDIGI A11 receives all updates automatically via FOTA method. You need this tool only in case of emergency (if you've bricked your phone), if you want to apply a clean install or if you want to clear all root access and custom recovery to make your phone able to receive FOTA updates again. Moreover, flashing with SPFT is the only option to repair (replace) damaged system software.

Extract the .rar file before use. The scatter file (MT6765_Android_scatter.txt) is inside the extracted folder, together with the other components

VCOM driver: Windows 10 can automatically install it. Please make sure that your Windows is logged in with administrator rights and your computer has a working internet connection when first time connecting your phone.

Here's an optional solution to start the flashing process on your UMIDIGI A11 if the standard method doesn't work.

It's especially useful if your phone is bricked or is stuck in bootloop

1. Connect your phone to USB.

2. Start the flashing process with the Download button in the flasher app.

3. Press and hold the power button of your phone until the flashing process starts (red bar appears at the bottom of the app window), then release it. In this process you have to keep the power button pressed for about 10 seconds.

4. Wait until the flashing process finishes.

Kind request from users:
Please report any kind of new issues you experience after installing this update only if you've already flashed this ROM with SP Flash Tool in Firmware Upgrade mode. In rare cases a FOTA update can cause more or less serious malfunctions but that means only the update process went wrong, not a badly developed ROM. An updated stock ROM, especially related to the basic functions will not cause any new issues but will solve some of the existing ones.

Problems with proximity sensor while using the Phone app - screen does not wake when taking the device away from face.

Finger print sensor takes a few tries before it recognizes sometimes as well.

Screen resolution doesn't match video playback from apps like Snapchat and YouTube - instead of 1080p like selected, image is blurry and goes beyond screen boarders; most notably captions on the screen. When there are closed captions for low volume use, the words and image exceed screen space. I don't know true DPI so I can't fix this through developer options, which should be easily fixed through update as well.

I also have the problem with the proximity sensor in the phone app
(screen does not wake up when you take the device away from your ear).
So it is hardly possible to end a call.
However, I already got the device with the firmware version "UMIDIGI_A11_4GB_E_V1.0_20210630".

Screen wake notification options do not work. I have selected to NOT wake the screen on notification though it still happens - still wasting my battery!

Please fix the issues at hand - this is getting very annoying to have features that DON'T WORK!

Proximity sensor needs fixing, screen wake options need fixing, and Google security update needs updating to July!

Update: Proximity sensor sort of fixed. Still have issues with the screen wake..


Update 2: Still have some issues when on the phone the screen does not wake properly. Also still have no control of screen wake on notification - the screen still wakes and burns battery life. I would like to be able to turn this off.. I may try to flash the new ROM when posted and start fresh; the update process for the newest ROM was quite painful.. the update got stuck at 2% and after many many many restarts and power offs, it finally finished somehow. Not sure what it was that finished the update, but it did have an issue updating. Please post the newest ROM available from OTA. Thanks!

I did flash this ROM and updated to the new OTA release because I'm still waiting for the newest OTA update to be released in ROM form so I can flash it and HOPEFULLY not have any more issues with screen wake on notification though I have set the device to NOT wake the screen. Still annoying!!
