Yes, since Umidigi uses different ODMs for every device the quality can be really inconsistent. A-gold seems to be the best, and Droi the most buggy. My Z2 still works great and friend still uses their Power 1 today, both are A-gold as is the A7 pro I believe. The A3 was also incredibly usable and good looking for a US$60 phone. Meanwhile my F2 came with cracked plastic around the fingerprint sensor, the sensor itself stopped working, and the software sometimes feels laggy and other time perfectly smooth.
For the money I will continue to buy Umidigi though. Their band support is really good for the global market and they are by far the best value for the money that works in USA. I'd rather upgrade my phone every year than purchase one of the comparable main brand phones available here for 3x the price or more. no software updates is sad but that's what you're paying for with a more expensive phone. |
