I've got my phone synced up with my car's radio. It's just the stock radio in a 2014 Kia Soul, but it's always been great for streaming from my phone to the radio. I've used the radio with a garbage Samsung phone that my cell provider gave me when I signed up, a OnePlus 3t (for nearly 2 years), a Zuk Z2, and the Umidigi Z2, before now using it with my Z2 Pro.

And only with this Z2 Pro am I facing issues where audio streaming from Audible will randomly skip between 4 to 10 second's worth of content. There is no set interval at which this happens. Some days it doesn't happen for 30+ minutes. Other days it happens immediately after starting and then every couple minutes.

It also randomly drops the signal completely and disconnects. This seems to happen between 30 and 45 minutes after connecting. (I commute ~ 50 minutes each way to work).

Has anyone else experienced similar issues with Bluetooth? Any ideas on how to get this resolved? Is there some cache I don't know about that I could clear?

I'm running the most recent updates available to the phone as that's what it came with.

Thanks in advance for any ideas / help.

I'm facing this problems to, I think it's got somthing to do with Bluetooth Ble settings.
For me it is like, when I'm streaming connection is oké, but when streaming is pausing, connections start dropping.
It does this with car audio, but not with my Parrot phone connection.
Connection with my smartwatch is like that to.
Last Phone (elephone) had this to.
Can find info on the net but not a solution.

For me it  ...

I've been doing a lot of tinkering, bricking, saving, etc.
I hadn't thought about the connection with my smartwatch until I just reread your post. I'm super annoyed today because the skipping on my car audio is really horrific. I can't listen to anything now without frequent skips...
So back to my smartwatch. Rereading your post I recall that my watch will randomly get all notifications or no notifications, but it always shows "connected" to my phone.
I'm about ready to throw this damn phone out the window.

Hello everyone,
for about 1 month I bought a Umidigi Z2 Pro of which I am very happy, but I have two problems that annoy me with the BT connection with the car radio and I cannot find a solution. During audio streaming, when the audio player goes into backround it is no longer possible to skip tracks or change folders, and also when I raise or lower the volume of the radio, this does not vary linearly but in steps and is impossible find an appropriate level. I tried to install several apps and also to try the Z2 pro on other radios of other cars and I have the same problem. I updated the firmware of the Z2 Pro to the latest version available.
I hope there is someone who has noticed the same problem and solved it.

I am, also, have the same problem: Bluetooth connection is groped periodically in car, making streaming not possible to listening. Not only streaming: podcast or audio book act the same. Thus, it is not the issue with a streaming signal, but, for sure with Bluetooth connectivity.
I have it already second phone from UMIDIGI :now it is Z2, just returned one is One Max.
It was the same issue with the UMIDIGI One Max, just more frequently than on this one.
I do not have solution on that.
Just looking for it....
Good phones done by UMIDIGI, but that issue make them not useful  !
