In the specs of the S2 Lite is says "Second Gen FaceID" and in a video the upload on facebook the way it captures your face is diferent as in the S2 pro. Is there any diference between the faceID on s2 pro and s2 lite? and if so, would the s2 pro update it?
Also, is there any information on another update for the umi s2 pro, im really getting tired of umios.
Well, I just noticed a huge error and security lose in this S2 pro Face recognition. Some minutes ago I breached it by facing it to a picture of me in my older phone and Bam! it opened it.
Really disappointed... Serious security breach. Will just keep using my fingerprints cos I think it's safer...for now.
Havent tried it, but I believe you. The s2 lite claims to be resistant to photos, the s2 pro should get that too, right? I paid more for a "Pro" version, it should get every high spec.
Thanks, Would it be resistant to photos?. Also I notice some apps were taken out, would umi keep taking out these bloatware apps? On official updates, not on the basic rom.

But the faceid has a big security flaw, which is that you can pass it by putting a photo infront of the camera. Is this part of the improvement? If not, is there plans to make this more secure?Thanks.

Did you test this????Because we tested on latest firmware (after update you need wipe old face ID samples and take new ones) and phone WON'T unlock from pictures /photos.
