Edited by bobkill01 at 2018-1-20 00:16 \n\nHello,

The same...,

Add Theme and Quicktouch into the Freezer app, also go to Settings::Apps and diable all permissions for those two apps as well as all permissions for TouchPal.

I also disabled auto update for the Umi Store and Google Play to prevent TouchPal from updating and changing permissions, not sure if that is necessary or not.

Rescan your phone for malware and it should be fine.

Install Addons Detector app from Google PLAY and  scan should show no more push advertising caused by those adware apps that come with the phone.

Angers me that I paid $300 for a phone and it comes with adware malware that can not be uninstalled.

If Umidigi would take the 'high road' (=be honest, no adware, no malware) Umidigi could become a name brand that is trust.

I do not trust Umidigi phones but I will use my Umi S2 Pro phone for non-private usage.

No statement from Umidigi??

I can't confirm that any Umidigi phone contains malware. There is some apps added in to system but those apps not recording, storing users data/informations etc.
Latest update removing some of unwanted apps. Also you can use latest basic ROM version with possibilities to change launcher and with less bloatwear.

There is nothing to confirm really, we all know they contain the apps thats mentioned above. What we wanna know is what they do, and why they are there and why wont you remove them?

Some apps are just part of system. I don't know why they are there because I didn't put them there. There is some reason but definitely nobody is using those apps to copy users data.

Nice to know. I am really looking forward to exploring flashing the phone with a newer ROM that has removed the apps that Malwarebytes detected as adware or riskware, such as Quicktouch, TouchPal.
Thank you for posting that link about the ROM.
