type c to 3.5 mm adapter

Hi,

My adapter that came with the phone works fine, but i have another type c to 3.5mm adapter that is usb 3.1 that doesn't work.

From the specs the S2 is usb 2, but 3.1 should be backwards compatibale - yes? Or do i need a usb 2 ?

Any one else have any experience, or does the moderator know what should work?

Also - is there anyway to increase the output volume to the headphones? The max volume currently seems quite low

If is not working is mean that is not compatible, and we can do nothing about. In theory adapter with higher number should supporting older versions but who knows what adapter producer have done.
You can increase volume values in engineering mode.
Please open calling dialler and type in *#*#3646633#*#*

Just another quick q - I think I've read this already, but can you confirm there's a bug when headphones are disconnected:

the sound for phone calls is mute on the phone speaker as I'm guessing it still thinks the headphones are connected? A reboot fixes it. Is this being sorted in a future update?

This was fixed in latest update.
Also you can try disconnect USB adapter while screen is off.

Please reboot phone and test. Also you can perform factory reset but this will wipe whole user data.
Because you mentioned that the adapter not working since first day I suspecting adapter internal failure. Please talk to seller.

So, with the screen off I can take out the headohone jack / adapter and the phone behaves normally.

As mentioned, I am on the latest firmware. Can this please be looked at and fixed with a further update?

I with the screen off I can take out the first seasson, after it doesnt behave normally
