Umidigi G

I purchased an Umidgi to use it in my car to direct my entertainment system. In general I am very pleased with the phone, but as I cross borders quite a few times every month I noticed that the umidigi G does not automatically change operator when entering in another country. So I have to stop and do evrything manually. Strange as I thought every smart phone would do this automatically. I tried to find a solution to coop with this but so far I failed.
Is there somebody out there that can tell me how to handle this problem?
