After harassing for ages on facebook messsaging finally got this answer

Hi,
Unfortunately developers will not allow live wallpaper. This is due to background limits in Android 7.
Our system is based on Android 7 and we cannot tweet this.

I think they cant be bothered myself i won't be bothered to buy another umidigi :-(

Looks Like Its to do with the UMI OS very poor a smart phone that isnt smart enough to have a live wallpaper even used the custom rom so i could use nova launcher but still no live wallpaper very poor

Yep been trying myself too something on the OS seems to be blocking it from running tried live wallpaper picker apk's but they all glitch out and crash before getting anywhere very frustrating :-(
