Hang on,in your own words you are saying that battery is not covered by warranty, due to wear and tear... Then you contradict
yourself by saying the battery is covered by warranty for six months.
Which is it then?
Also, you cannot claim that battery expansion is due to wear and tear.
Not everybody uses their phone while its charging, and you can prove otherwise,
Furthermore, manufacturers should accept that their phones will be used whilst on charge.

Then customer is paying for battery replacement.

Nope just under warranty on my HTC m8. Just something that if you think about it is only logical to do. Here in Europe you get 2 years factory warranty then it would be impossible for a manufacturer to only give a warranty of 6 months on a phone that YOU CANNOT OPEN WITHOUT LOOSING WARRANTY. That's is why in this "sealed"  models  the battery Carries the same warranty as the phone. On the others models that you can change battery then it's like you did said before they do carry ( not sure but red it somewhere) a warranty of 6 months for the battery.

No way. Did I pay for the battery of my HTC m8? Yes I did but also for the battery of my umi super. Sorry but don't get your logic with this one. Yes there is a big difference in price but that doesn't matter because if I buy a xiaomi for the same price of a umi super I still get the same warranty as for my HTC m8. Depends of the company and laws in this case and not price.

Umi and Xiaomi giving you similar warranty. You need always contact to seller and cover one way shipping cost (most time). Of course you can buy in some  local shops in some countries Xiaomi and then you have warranty in that shop but most time you paying around 25% more for device then from Chinese sellers.
