Hi,
I just bought a Umi plus e last week by Banggood.
Phone well receive and working good.
After 5 days, impossible to charge the phone.
I have tested several cables and plugs, nothing change.

If someone has got the same troubleshot and fixed it, [lease inform me. I think to send back the phone in China but I don't think its a good idea....

Thanks for your support

John

I think I have the same problem. I have received my phone 5 days ago, and I could only charge it one time after the first time I turned it on. When I only had 7% of battery left, I rebooted the phone and could charge it, but as soon as I took it off the charger I could not charge it when I plugged it back again. Now every time I want to charge it I have to reboot the phone.

I would really appreciate anyone from the UMI digi support team to give some advice on how to fix it, without sending back the phone to China.

Firstly try use different charger and cable. If battery was completely drained and you use 5V 1A charger could start charging up to 1H.
If your phone is still working you can perform factory reset (settings - backup and reset - factory data reset)
If is "dead"  you need use SPFT and flash you system.
Here is SPFT instruction
http://community.umidigi.com/thread-11-1-1.html
And here you have all available ROMs
http://community.umidigi.com/forum-128-1.html
If your phone completely won't charge and never charged, then probably something inside could be not connected or poor contact. Then you need contact seller or disassemble your phone but you will lose warranty.

Thanks for your answer.

I have tested several combination. Sometimes it works sometimes not.
Really hard to understand how things are going.
I will try to update the ROM.
Wait and see

My phone is not charging anymore. I realized a extremely high temperature (more than usual)  during last charge,  then I disconnected the charger. After that, the phone is not charging anymore.

I already tried with another cable and charger, but didn't work.

My guess is that the problem is at phone charger terminal. Maybe a short circuit.

Any comments?

Is your phone still working?
I would restart phone. Also perform factory reset if nothing helped (settings - backup and reset - factory data reset)
Also you can contact seller.
If you know how you can open phone and check battery, charging components, check for smell of burn, and disconnect and reconnect battery but this will void warranty.

Thanks for your comment.

It is not working, since there is no battery charge.
It has smell of burn, at usb connector.

I contacted the seller and he asked me to send the mobile phone  back. But I did not feel myself confident. There is no ticket/protocol number? May I simply send the mobile phone? Is there any guidelines?

Indeed, I don't need to make decisions by myself, I need the umi warranty, which I realized that does not work.
I have a umi phone, which had a problem during warranty period. I asked for warranty and I was told to talk to the seller. The seller simply  said ok, send me back. Without any ticket or protocol? There are no umi guidelines?

You need confirm that you sending your device back to seller and he give you address and some advice how to send. Of course shipping cost is on your side one way and seller if decided repair, replace under warranty then will send you back phone on his cost one way too.
