Edited by Polo91 at 2017-5-31 03:49 \n\nI just got my Z pro and I have some "grievances" about it. You may be able to enlighten me, or transmit my info to Umidigi for update:
Already the very first thing I ordered at Banggood what is apparently the original tempered glass (black metal box labeled "Magic Glass"). Well, it's two millimeters wide. So I misplaced it (screen off) and I'll have to redeem another, I have all the right corner that takes off (repositioned 3 times) and I lack 2 mm of screen cover. (Erratum of 22/05: a protective glass 5.5 to €14.99 which covers longer in length)
Concerning the pure bugs of the Z Pro (but I think the z must suffer too):
-From time to time, I have the "notification" line of the black screen of the presets (where we find the quick WiFi icons, GPS, 4 G, rotation ...) that makes the coming and going, making totally unusable the phone. We have to reboot.
-Recognition of the footprint to get into the phone does not work properly, despite the updates (last date 08 April if I have good memory):
* My thumb is not recognized, only the other fingers.
* When the phone is in standby, it sometimes does not recognize my finger and goes into mode "30 seconds of waiting before you can start again". The best is to turn on with the on/off button and then put the finger. Not practical at all. This kind of problem happens once on two.
* Quick charge: Umidigi has announced a quick load on the Z (with its 3000 mah). Probably the same thing with the Pro Z if only it has 3780 mah, so charge a little slower necessarily. But it's slow, very slow, in 22 mn of charge (with the original charger), it increased the load by only 10%. (Test from 22:00 to 22). Second Test of 22 at 23:59, 37%. Should we change the PSU, is it a matter of unbridled, or something else?
* The photo sensor: The bokeh effect was not really indispensable, I do not use it (I do not see the interest): to have edges not too blurry, it is necessary to open at F 5.8. Is it normal (portrait or landscape)
(Erratum of May 22, 2017: I found the operation of the bokeh effect, I tested, it looks like that of the iphone.) With no great interest except maybe for purists. Aperture at f/4.8, below, this freeze, probably bad firmware)
* The photo sensor: The night shot mode is completely illusory, there is a lot of parasite, limit it's no use. Better to turn on the flash, or switch to Pro mode
* The photo sensor: Once one has found the right balance with the Pro mode, why not be able to save a video with the changes made. When you switch to video, you cannot film with these settings (the settings in the "photo" mode are used). Trying to film a concert where your daughter plays with the lights coming down, it's just impossible. If the photo is taken with the "Photo Pro" mode, there yes, the photo can be successful.
* The photo sensor: stabilization: Whether with the "Photo Pro" or "photo" mode simply, I do not feel that the camera is stabilized, photos of objects moving are often blurred (I tried with dsas on and off and anti flicker on and off, it does not change anything). DSAs with "Photo Pro" allows you to thin the screen but sometimes you have to repeat it several times to have a non blurry image (1 image on 25 that is not blurred)
* The photo sensor: You cannot choose the storage location (main memory or memory card). The mention appears from time to time when the phone comes out of standby. Not practical
* The photo sensor: Would it be possible to have pre-reices like on Samsung, namely, a "sport" mode, a "auto" mode, a "Twilight" mode (which works) etc. ..
* The photo sensor: Does the 2 sensors take at the same time a photo or is it one that only takes in mono and the other only in color, without any concertation like the other brands that make the double sensor (depth management for example).
* The photo sensor: Zoom x 1 to x 3: Would it be possible to zoom with 2 fingers (like on LG or Apple) rather than press a tiny circle labeled X 1. Note that in landscape mode, it does not work and in portrait mode, you really have to have small fingers, or really point to pile on.
* Heat emitted: It heats up this phone enormously, despite the aluminium that covers it which is supposed dissipate the temperature. I thought the LG G4 was heating up a lot, but there, with the ALU, it burns the hand. (During the first installation and the time to download all the updates.) Then, for use, it heats up, but a little less, especially when taking pictures. To cool it, I'm forced to put cold air in the car
(Erratum of 22/5: Apparently it has much heated during installation.) I have the impression that there is a period of break-in, because it no longer heats the 21/05 in the morning. Ditto photo enhancements)
.
* The photo sensor: There is nowhere the aperture f/(which allows to know whether the photo sensor is bright or not) for the Umi Z. It is f/2.0 for the Pro Z. Why not put an F/1.9 or 1.8?
* The selfie sensor: large defect on the selfie, the lamp lights up itself and it must be shut off manually whenever one wants to make a selfie. But above all it is useless, the image is very dark when it is taken in low light. Why put a torch if there is no difference between a selfie taken with torch and without torch. The torch will turn off when the camera takes the photo and relights when it is taken.
* App permission pops up from time to time in the notification bar, there is no translation. What's the point?
* The icon on the Google screen with the microphone: it cannot be moved, erased or resized. A way?
* Attached applications: No Notepad (well, I chipote a little, but we find this on all smartphones)
* I remove the post on Android 7, it's for soon
* the "gallery" application that tends to grind when you want to scroll through images. "At times, when we scroll," gallery "is confused and an image that was taken 10 minutes ago is found in front of a video that was taken a few seconds ago (after well 15 seconds of patience thanks to the effect that turns, which shows that we have to wait wisely for the end of treatment).
On the positive side, there are still: the HDR mode of the photo sensor is simply bluffing, you get to more or less the original image. The hot GPS finds 10 satellites in 3 seconds, the predictive writing of the messages is very good (I come from afar with LG, in comparison, and yet the G4 was one of the best products of 2015). The audio is very good (too bad there is only one speaker). The 4 G is fast, and WiFi also (a speed test explosive compared to the G4, 50% less fast than the Pro Z in WiFi).
I continue tomorrow following the tests, but if someone could get back to Umidigi for correction (and I think I don't have to be the only one to have encountered this kind of problem). This phone suffers from too much youth (just look at the crashes on the Galaxy S7 or the 6s iphone when they came out, the Firmwares went out one after the other)
The front camera takes dark pictures, with or without flash (besides the flash lights up on its own)
