Umi Diamond still heats up

Hello, I bought 1 Umi Diamond, 1 month ago, and I forwarded it for exchange because it had too many problems ... sound too weak, abnormal overheating, instability, etc ... I received the new in return, it seems to be more stable (I made the OTA latest updates of 05/2017), but this new Umi Diamond still heats up, and especially, when I use GPS, within 5 Minutes, a message informs me of an abnormal overheating (Umi Diamond is very very hot) and to shut down as soon as possible the device crashes ... Have you ever encountered this problem, or am I cursed with Umi ... This is really a pity because the device has very good assets but!!!... I hope not to regret my purchase? Thanks for your answers.

Please reboot your device and open only GPS app. Also I recommending using Google apps to navigate.
Definitely do not place phone at the hot air from vents, or strong sunlight passing through to windscreen as this will increase device temperature and this is not device fault as there is heat coming from outside sources.

I own the Diamond too and found it gets very hot, but I've not encountered any warning messages about overheating, but I've never used it as a Sat Nav. I'm about to go out in the car now, I'll try using it as a Sat Nav and see what happens and update you later.

i have bought the umi diamond a few months ago and have had nothing but problems with it, it over heats, it randomly installs apps, it it constantly opens settings and drop down menu constantly turns wifi off, freezes or shuts down i have never had such problems with a phone????

anyone know a solution???????

Hi guys,
i have the same issues with thhe phone. I bought t in May 2017. Since the beginning i experienced annoying ads covering the whole screen during navigation (Waze) till i started checking the Adware/Malware issue. Then i installed a virus detector and removed a few apps, which i ibviuosly did not install by myself. I hardly install ANY apps at all. The phone got very hot during naviagation with Waze, i got the overheating message and the phone even turned down a few times. After about six months i experienced daily crashes of the phone, so i assumed this was caused by inernal shortcuts in the battery, so i got a new battery, which set an end to the crashes. Unwanted apps keeps being installedm eventhough the option of installing from unkonwn sources is turned OFF. Sorry for those of you who got stuck with this crappy phone. I have wasted much too much time on the above issues. Never again UMI!
