Camera: zoom in and out with buttons, and other questions - SOLVED

Greetings.

Is it just me or the buttons that control the sound of + and - do not work on the camera for zoom in or out?

Also, why do all USB type-c cables that I buy won't connect properly and yet the original does? And any news regarding Android 7? It was promised when I bought the phone...

Hi,
You can use third party camera apps (A Better Camera for example), that allow you to set the volume buttons for zooming.
The Plus E has a somewhat deeper than standard USB Type-C connector, so you can use the stock cable or something else with a such longer plug like this one: https://goo.gl/WLeuWd
Since the UMi Plus E got released, an Android 7 upgrade has never been promised by the company. It was a plan before its release date, only even before the pre-sale period had started. You cannot find a single advertisment talking about an Android 7 upgrade and published by UMi. UMi (already UMIDIGI) is still committed to release an Android 7.x upgrade for Plus E as soon as we get the needed SDK from MediaTek. Unfortunately until now that has not happened.
