Multi window view not working?

Hi guys,

For some reason I can not turn on the multi window mode by tapping the square twice. (I had no problem using it with my previous Umi Plus)
Is there somethging I have to turn on in developer mode?

PS: Can I wake up the phone with any other button rather than the power off button? thanks

Multi Window is a Nougat feature.

You'll be able to wake up with fingerprint scanner (if using it for security).

thanks for your answer I thought that its running android 7 but i see know that we are still on 6
I will set up the fingerprint scanner also many thanks!
