Hi,

I am posting this as a help since I struggled with the screen standby timer a lot to realize what causes the issue after upgrading to Android 7.0 Nougat.
Anytime I set the timer from 30 seconds to any other value, in my case 5 minutes, it was set back to 30 seconds whenever I checked it again.
In my case, this was caused by the Battery saving mode setting. Solution: You need to go to Settings -> Battery saving mode -> Battery profiles -> <Mode, e.g. My mode> -> Press the cog -> Sleep <- here you will have to set the value.

I am wondering why there is still an option under Display when it is anyway overwritten by the Battery saving mode setting. As I see, you cannot disable the Sleep management in My mode, therefore it is always overrides the value set under Display -> Sleep option.
UMi developers might think about it as a bug fix, e.g. either removing the option under the Display menu, or if there is still some validity of that in any other case than My mode profile, then grey it out if My mode or any affecting profile is selected.

Thanks!
