Edited by Slappy at 2015-9-4 03:43 \n\nWarning Modifying system files can cause your device to bootloop or become unresponsive please ensure you have a backup before you proceed with any system mod.
Also note, altering your DPI can cause the Google Play Store to show your device as incompatible for some apps. Some developers limit their app's compatibility based on a device's DPI value. If for any reason you get an error, all you have to do is revert back to your original DPI and download the app again. Once you have the app installed, you can switch back to your custom DPI.
Step 1.
Browse to the location of your build.prop file - /system/build.prop
Make a backup of the file before you edit it. You should always backup any file you will manually edit.
Step 2.
Open the file with the app editor (Solid Explorer or ES File Explorer) and scroll through until you find the following value: ro.sf.lcd_density=420
The value 420 is what we are interested in changing.
Step3.
Change this to something that better suits your tastes. I’m currently using 400 as this suits me.
Save the file you just edited and reboot your device.
