OTA Update no working (stuck with first 201608 update)

Hi guys.

My mother has a Umi Max but the OTA update to the 20160710 (I believe it´s the first one lauched) dosent work. It downloads but when it gets to "rebooting phone" nothing happens.
From what I´ve read there were others OTA updates lauched but since I cant get the first one to install I am doomed to never update the phone, which is dissapointing, specially since Android Nougate 7.0 is arriving soon and there are some problems that need to be fixed (the touch screen sensivity is very bad, for instance).
Can someone please help me? Is there anything I can do to get the OTA updates working?

Thanks. But can you please amke a single post with every step we have to take to get the OTA updates working? All the informations is scattered all over that thread in multiple posts and that could help everyone who is having this issue. Not everyone is tech savvy, as you sure know. And I have to agree with Falcon146, is ridiculous we have to do all this to fix a problem that Umi created Cheers

Hi 1. You will loose all user data so copy in to sd card or computer.
2. Remove sd card and sim cards
3. Perform factory reset (settings - backup and reset - factory data reset)
4. Make wi-fi connections
5. Go to settings - about phone - wireless update - check for updates

Hi There is nothing guaranteed but if you don't try you will never know.
Another option will be use SPFT and latest ROM

There is really nothing wrong with OTA uodate. Only in your software is incorrect server address. But now server changed so is big possibilities to get OTA update. There is no point performing factory reset if you not getting FOTA notification. In that case you need use SPFT and to emigrate from your software number.

I am getting the FOTA notification but after downloading the update and saying the phone will rebootnothing happens...it dosent reboot and if I do i manually the update procedure did not start.

For my case, what shoud I do, in your opinion?

Did you performed factory rest before trying FOTA update?
