Hello everyone!
As I need big system fonts (problems with my eyes) I need to get root access to either
- modify the system fonts of Android or
- set a different screen resolution for the UMI Plus.
Working with Arch LInux here I use the android sdk platform tools.
The tools are "adb" and fastboot". I am connected to the phone and can use fastboot commands sucessfully.
Now when I am in the bootloader of the Umi Plus and do a "fastboot flash unlock" the phone gives me two options:
- Yes, unlock and loose warranty
- No, do not allow flashing and keep warranty
The text say I have to choose with the volume up key for "yes" and the volume dwon key for "No".
Sadly I can only use the volume down key for "No" - the other key does not work at all in this dialog.
Reading in myna tutorials I find that I have to send an "unlock_token" to the phone to allow flashing.
Now I have the following questions and would be happy if someone can help me out here:
1. Is it correct that I need an "unlock token" and if yes how do I find it?
2. Is there another way to allow the flashing command "fastboot flash recovery TWRP.img"?
3. Does anyone know where to find and how to change the resolution of the UMI Plus screen?
Thx a lot for any help,
cheers, y.
