Screen and Held awake is using more than 76% of battery.

My Umi Plus screen is using 58% of total battery and Held Awake is using 18% of total battery so i am getting battery for around 10-12hrs of normal use only.

Screen Discharge while on/off is 57%/21%. I tried to use Adaptive Brightness option and my brightness is always half. Can anyone tell me possible solution to decrease the battery used by screen and Held Awake?

Used Gsam Battery app to get this details which is suggested by UmiPlus in facebook.

Hi,

Your screenshots show a 21 hours long battery usage with 3 hours of screen-on time and still remaining 24% battery power. That seems to be acceptable but your words don't seem to be corresponding to your screenshots. So please, make this case clear.

It seems you always contradict statements rather than providing solutions.

I play games for around 30-40 mins per day, browse internet for around 30 mins and other stuff for 10-15 mins like calling and phone is idle for the rest of day thats why its coming for 21hrs. In that 76% of battery used screen and held awake is taking 76% of the total battery usage which is the problem.
I dont think flag ship devices like UmiPlus with 4000mah battery just give 3hrs screenontime and i think there is a problem in my phone.

If you look at the battery usage of my apps, phone and wifi is just using 23% rest 77% is used by Screen and Held awake which is the problem. Look at the screen on time its only 3H 3m and screen is using 76% of battery which is the problem.

There is no use to buy a flag ship mobile and getting 21hrs of battery in idle state for most of the time.

Is this 'held awake' mentioned some kind of wakelock?

Wakelock is a function used by some apps that do not allow the device to sleep. If that happens, then the device may look idle, the screen might be off, but the device is awake and not properly sleeping, this means high energy consumption compared to no wakelock and proper sleep.

For example, I use a Samba fileshare server app, this once activated installs a wakelock so the device never sleeps again until app is deactivated. There is a reason for this because the Samba server needs all resources to be able to serve requests, but for practical reasons I always have the device on charger power when running Samba.

Hello Bencebacsi,

In one if my earlier posts you mention not to compare Bluboo Maya Max which is inferior model phone but see the battery and on screen performance of my Bluboo Maya Max which is 2 days 1.8hrs and 7h46m which is excellent. Even it has 3GB RAM I don't have any issues in opening any apps.

As UmiPlus has 4000mah battery I expect battery to come atleast 1day 12hrs and screen on time minimum of 5-6 hrs then it will be great.

Please do not underestimate any other company phone without using it.

Edited by sskanth999 at 2016-12-7 19:44 \n\nIs Umi Plus sleeping. I contacted them through Facebook they replies saying that I need to raise it in forums and if we raise in forums no reply.
With such a huge 4000mah battery its not coming for more than 12 hrs of normal use which is disgusting.
