I had the 2016.08.10 firmware and I updated to 2016.09.23, jumping the 08.19, flashing directly with SPFT as BB said: See BB post
Max seems run better (wifi, radio phone...) but there is a big issue: fingerprint unblock does not work anymore.
I mean, it works for no Umi app, like Paypal or Dropbox, but the phone can't be unblocked just with finger, because the system asks for pin/password too.
I tried recalibration sensor, erase and restore finger, but there is no way.
It's a very annoying problem.
So, the thread topic is simple: is there anyone who upgrade to 2016.09.23 without fingerprint unblock issue or we must downgrade to 2016.08.19?

Hi,

You still can directly unlock the screen with fingerprint if you locked it with the power button but not if you locked with a 3rd party app. It's about higher security level in this release.

[size=+1]Oh now I see... but it is a peaty, because with Nova gesture You can switch the screen off with a simple double click on the screen, without stressing power button. Is there a way to permit Nova gesture to switch off again?

The switch off (lock) feature of 3rd party apps still should work. This restriction is about unlocking the screen. That has security risks if it can be accessed by 3rd party apps.

It is useless let the phone switch off without let it be unblocked by finger sensor!
I wonder why Dropbox and Paypal app can access to our documents and money using Umi finger sensor and Nova Launcher (with million customer) can't unblock phone.

No one of the mentioned apps can unlock your phone. In that case you can use your fingerprint to substitute your password at login but they still won't get access to the system while your phone is locked.

Finally, I think I would chose (not others) what app is eligible to unblock my phone.
Besides, Nova Launcher just block my phone (with double tap), the fingerprint unblocking can be however supervised by the system phone.
This higher security level does not convince made so, or it has to be better modulated.
