RAW capture format?

So I was wondering, if UMI will be able to implement in future updates a RAW format capture for the camera app or atleast a permissions that lets other 3rd party apps take enable this option for that kind of photo format. In case that doesn't happen, I have heard that there is some kind of code or script or something of that kind that's called camera2api. I only know that it somehow allows the system to use that RAW photo format, but I'm not really sure how it works. I hope a UMI moderator or a crew member would be able to see this thread and give me an answer. If the company doesn't actually plan on doing this, is it gonna be possible for some of the forum users to link me a tutorial that explains every step in detail?
