An app my work use for email (Good for Enterprise) does not work on my UMI Super. Initially it was because I thought it was rooted or perhaps because of an unsecure boot image (I've been posting in one of the rooting threads). Now I have been asked to provide details of whether there is an official ROM on the phone or not.

In About I can see a section Custom built version. Does this mean there is a custom ROM installed? On my previous phone (Samsung S4) this section is not there and instead there is a section Device status which says "Official". Why is the UMI Super not "Official" as well?

Thanks.

Ty going into settings and security tab and check the allow unsecure apps tab which should allow you to install the app.

The app installs ok. Once it runs it does some checks against the phone and then closes down, reporting that the phone is not secure.

Regardless of this app though, I'm trying to understand what is the status of the device. Is it not classified as an official ROM?

Anyone from UMI comment on this? My friend has the UMI Touch and it does not say "Custom built version" on that and the email app works on his phone.
