That guy changed the way to check the hardness of the screen to make it more "scientifically" by using Mohs Scale instead. The phone did scratch at hardness 4. We are still wondering how Umi source the Gorilla Glass because obviously Umi is not on Corning's list. I just wonder how Umi will solve this mess with customers being disappointed and feel that they don't get what they have paid for. I wonder if you @bencebacsi are employed by Umi to handle this forum, because you have to understand that there are loads of other brands and the badwill created will amplify through internet. The video presented by Umi shows 30000 positive replies about.. Umi Super being a superb device and improved. I don't know the FOTA:s worked for others, as a matter of fact I don't care because the FOTAs didn't improve anything. I still have the crappy GPS and the camera taking crappy pictures. It's a fact to me.

Is that thread that I linked here about the gorilla glass topic deleted?
"That gorila glass is fake, and umi lies."
In that sentence you formulate concrete accusations without providing evidence. False accusation is punished by laws in every constitutional state. So such posts will be deleted and after repeated such actions (in a raw) the user will be banned.

Please watch the following video about LG G4 that's also built with Gorilla Glass 3 screen. In that video this guy didn't use those unknown material devices signed by just numbers but could scratch that screen with a simple razor knife, what was unsuccesful at the UMi Super. All of these just specify the scientific level of those tests. It's obviously near to zero so next time please come back with the results of the observation of an authorized laboratory.
Thank you.

I'd like an explanation of JerryRigEverything's test of the durability. Please pay extra attention in the part where the screen is scratch at a lvl3 hardness of the pick.

I'll create a scratch test video with a UMI Super using such items that you know what they are (keys, knives etc.), not just unknown devices signed by numbers in a video as soon as I get home from holiday. If somebody claims that, he scratched the display of a UMI Super with a common key, that simply cannot be true since not even the surface of the cheapest capacitive touch screen can be scratched with a metallic key. Just try it yourself.

He hasn't answered the question. He has not explained why if its gorilla glass it scratches and breaks so easily. It is far too soft to be real gorilla glass and it only raises further suspician when he bans users that bring it up and calls the reason for their ban "posting offensive content".
We bought this crap and have a right to know why the glass is scratching and breaking so easily because gorilla glass does not break as easily as this, just look at all the users complaining that keys are scratching the screen and users posting topics about their broken screen phone for sale this isn't acceptable nor is the behavou rof this mod. He has answered very little other than why umi isn't on the list of phones with gorilla glass.

Edited by quazi at 2016-8-2 14:40 \n\nRefusing to use the search function is offensive though!

edit: bencebacsi can you maybe add a disclaimer that states that people should use the search function before opening the 232th threat on the same topic?

What bencebacsi means is tht the answer to the question everybody is discussing is given from him at page one of the thread http://community.umidigi.com/for ... =Gorilla&page=1

I can only guess UMI is trying to check why these scratch problems come up with their supplier. But this is nothing you can write into a forum. So what shall they say instead of "We buy these screens officially from retaillers as Gorilla glas screens" ?

I suggest if you have a scratched display put it to a warranty case.
If your display is cracked maybe this will not work.

That would be interesting...

Can you also make a video with GPS accuracy too?

It's hot topic on the forums as the distance is approximately 20ft away, we need clarity if it's software or hardware issue.  Thanks bence
