Fingerprint Sensor Failed to scan finerprint

Hello,
I have just received my UMI Super and updated it to the newest firmware. However, I found out the fingerprint sensor was not working and failed to scan fingerprint despite numerous attempts. Is there a way to solve this problem or is this a sign of defective senor? Your help would be appreciated.

Did you remove the "screen protector" on the fingerprint scanner?
I have not seen the "screen protector" at the beginning
and thought the scanner is defective.

For fingerprint scanner you have to "get used". For me, every day is getting better. Much depends on how you scan a finger during configuration (force, angle, part of the fingertip). You have the ability to scan 5 fingers, so try different fingers.

Will you please help me solve the problem of the fingerprint scanner in my UMI Super? The protective film on the back had already removed before I proceeded to scan the fingers. Numerous attempts had been made using different fingers and by pressing hard on the scanner and there was simply no response and vibration of any from the scanner.

I am still waiting response from UMI moderator regarding the failure of fingerprint scanner to scan fingerprints.

You have to scan your finger at different angles. If you save your finger print with your finger half side ways over and over again and then try and scan your full finger upside down it obviously isn't going to work.

The fingerprint scanner was not working (no response or vibration) since first day of receiving my phone. It is still not working after update to the newest firmware. It simply fails to scan the fingers.

Hi,
To rule out the possibility of an existing software error, I suggest you to flash your phone with SP Flash Tool, choosing the 'Firmware Upgrade' option in the flasher application. That process will completely rewrite the whole software content of your device. - You will lose your user data.

If that doesn't help, then you might have a hardware issue. In that case I suggest you to contact your reseller and request a solution.

Please double check again and make sure you removed the protective film from the scanner. You may have removed the protective film on the back of the phone, but there is also a small round piece of protective film on the scanner itself.
