There is no guidance in the documentation about compatible SD cards (although the promotional photo shows a 128gb XC-1 card), so I've tried using a Samsung Memory 64 GB EVO MicroSDXC UHS-I Grade 1 Class 10 Memory Card. I assumed any XC-1 would be compatible, but it does not show up in storage after formatting in my Plus for use as a fixed (non-portable drive).
I've recovered the card using a SD formatting tool on my PC, and quick formatted it to exFAT. Can this be made to work in the Plus?
I hit post by accident there, as I had put the freshly formatted card back in. - It was again reported as corrupt as when first installed, but I asked it to format as portable storage this time, which worked. I do notice though that it thinks there's a missing SD card now. Does the phone need to be rebooted before the SD card shows as additional storage if you format as non-portable, fixed memory? I thought I had checked that, but I could be wrong. |
