I found a solution to my particular problem with Flash_Tool and wanted to pass the info on. This may or may not solve your problem with Flash_Tool not working properly because it is a very outdated tool and as such, it is very temperamental (especially on Windows 10). The solution I discovered does not make a whole lot of sense but I had tried everything else and thought it would not hurt to give it a try. I simply opened up Flash_Tool and then opened its option menu. I then clicked on "connection" from the option menu. The connection option menu has a USB section that by default should have the USB speed set to "High speed", the "Timeout" set to 60 min and the "Battery" section set to auto detect. I left everything set to the default settings except for the "Battery" section. That section I changed to w/o battery since the phone is turned off.
Flashing TWRP recovery worked like a charm after I made that change. |
