Oleophobic screen coating is pretty poor

Hi everybody,
I Love my Super, only downside on built quality is that Oleophobic screen coating is pretty poor compared to other known brands,  it's a pitty as screen performs really weel under direct sunlight but then smudges and fingerprints can be really visible and it makes screen difficult to read

Anybody else feeling the same way?

worryingly, Umi don't appear in Corning (Gorilla Glass) website as approved manufacturers....i hope it is Glass 3 as thats whats advertised

I think you all need to look at the drop tests on the UMI Super... its pretty tough.
It has gorilla glass 3 ( i cant see why this would be falsely advertised as the technology has been around for a while)

If you have scratches on your screen i would recommend you use a protective glass cover, or just look after your phone a bit better. = UMI have made a phone its up to you to look after it.

I also doubt whether this phone genuinely has Gorilla Glass 3? I have used my Oneplus One for over two years without any screen protector and there are hardly any visible scratches on the screen. However on UMI super I can already see some visible scratches on the screen.

Mine got scratches too. Quite sad, but you get what you paid.

Well both phones sport gorilla glass 3 so technically there shouldn't be any difference.

Any Moderator is able to certify that it's truly Gorilla Glass 3 tht's been used on UMI Super?

If it's like the  Sony battery stuff (see thread about battrery manufacturer in this forum), well i guess there is a lack of clarity in UMI communication...

Corning has a list of vendors usings Gorilla Glass. Umi Super is not one of the listed vendors.

I don't see any reason why Corning would leave UMI out unless they are not using Corning glass at all.
