The UMi Super is the latest flagship by UMi a current popular startups brand from China. Today I’m gonna share my opinion of UMi Super after one month used.
1、Specifications :A 4GB flagship killer UMi Super is based on a MediaTek Helio P10 MT6755 with a 2GHz octa-core CPU and a 700MHz dual-core Mali-T860 MP2. Its work is backed by 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM clocked at 933MHz, while the eMMC 5.1 storage (Samsung) measures 32GB. It can be expanded with up to 256GB. It has 5.5-inch an FHD resolution (1080 x 1920), IPS display by Sharp, covers 95% of the NTSC color space and is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 with 2.5D curved edges.
2、Design and build: In fact, the guys from UMi have done a great job. It’s have a good glance at first: The smartphone comes in a dedicated black metal box. UMi Super has a premium design, as it is built with aerospace class unibody aluminum. The design is one of my favorite, because it’s not only looks premium but also feels really quality on hand which makes me feel safe to have it place in where without worry that might break. It is pretty similar to some other smartphones by big giants in the same segment. Here are a few things I like about the phone. You will find the power and shortcut buttons on the top-right side of the phone, offering excellent tactile feedback. I used mostly for the “mute” function when I am on a meeting specially when I got interrupt while taking a nap, I can mute it like less than 0.Sec. No, joking. I also use it for taking a picture, which is really convenient and helps you capture the moment you like very quickly. I’m so happy with the option UMi provides for navigation bar. Because most of the other brands keep it on the screen which takes quite a bit of space of the display, I personally think this is a boss way to make any decision without caring what users feel. Since there are a lot of people might be left hand or using a different way. Anyway this function is so damn cool. And here we see this blinking star is not only just a home key. It also is a notification light which could set up with 7 different color for different notification. I enjoy this notification a lot since I can notice where does it come from the min I saw the color.
3. Support the hottest VR handset It’s worth of mentioning that UMi Super is compatible with VR handset, the SHARP display support full HD video, which is a big con if you’re watching it with UMi Super. Simply snap it and you're in any virtual reality you fancy. Given the expected boom of the VR industry, UMi have no reason to absent this red sea.
4、Car mount: convenient few people have been known If you might notice this thing on the table, it’s call car mount which is like a magnet holder holds your phone firmly on here whatever it calls. What’s so special with UMi Super on this case? Becuase normally it requires to be applied with this magnet pad stick on your phone, which look idiot and hard to get it off, doesn’t it? Well UMi Super has build this magnet pad into battery cover, so you can just put it like that and it wont drop! Let’s go!
5、Performance：Clean and liquid Stock Android 6.0
As for software, you get a pure Android 6.0 Marshmallow from Google, it’s clean and smooth without any pre-install app.
6、Camera：High speed and beautiful picture UMi installed a 13-MP camera made by Panasonic at the rear of the phone. This is ready to use within half a second. А typical feature of the Smart FSI sensors is their structure. Each color component of the pixel is surrounded by a light wall, which coupled with a light tube lessen color crosstalk and light loss. That mean the main camera is absolutely useful for snapshots that lets enough light through. In addition, a dual-tone flash available to also show the dark natural colors.
7、A full day use thank to giant 4000mAh Battery This smartphone comes with a Giant battery as well as fast charging and quick-access button USB Type-C. Their latest OTA enhance battery life that I can have it about 12 hours a day. I am pretty happy with this result. And the fast charging is one of the feature I appreciated the most. Because normally it will require a very long time to get it fully charged, while this Super phone only takes about an hour. I would say.
8、Fingerprint scanner：faster than eyes blink The smartphone features a Microarray 4th generation 3D fingerprint sensor placed on its back, which provide 360-degree recognition, supports up to 5 fingerprint IDs and unlocks really fast. It is evident that UMi are relying on proven manufacturers for the most important hardware parts, just like in the display, and we must say that there is a positive difference.
9、Conclusion: A phone I’ll definitely recommend to my friends The price war in the smartphone sector is in full swing: The UMi Super is the new model of Chinese Newcomers and have for about 190 euros. This battle price you get some features that is otherwise known mainly by Premium devices: fingerprint scanner, display with 2.5D glass, USB Type-C connector, and a 4,000 mAh battery with rapid charging function. But also in terms of processing and performance the smartphone from China surprised me.
