Root Status -Issues

Hi. I tried using Now Tv (a Sky App to watch certain channels). This came up with the same error that would show up on a phone with an 'unlocked' Bootloader or Root. The error says that as the 'system ahs bene modified' it cannot be used. The app does not let you watch on a 'rooted' phone. So, clearly it is picking something up in the OS that thinks it's 'modified'

Now, I have not modified the firmware in anyway, so what state does it come with? It's not rooted already is it? Is the bootloader unlocked already?

I was hoping i would not have these issues as I need to be able to use this (and other) apps.

Dear syanide,

UMi Super is not factory rooted and the bootloader is locked. I suggest you to contact the developer of your specific app about your issue.

Hi,

Please share with us if you know something. I must correct myself: the bootloader is unlocked in the stock ROMs but making it locked doesn't change anything. However, by a simple logic, since there isn't a single app with the need of root access, that can work on UMi Super with a clean stock ROM, that's obviously not rooted.
