The EngineerMode method has just a temporary effect. If you reflash your phone, it gets lost. Anyway the SN Writer app should work. I've updated the tutorial. Please check it carefully again and strictly follow all instructions. If something doesn't work, please share the details with me. At which point, what's the error message that you receive etc.

Thank you a lot! It worked.  "Hard reset" - it means that i installed the ROM by SP Flash Tool but ...

I see but the Firmware Upgrade method doesn't format the whole flash but only the updated partitions. So that never clears the IMEI numbers.

Dear user,

What does "hard reset" mean by your words? Did you format the flash memory of your phone? You still can try the EngineerMode method that's described in the gizbeat.com article.

Regards,
Bence

Hmm, so bad. I bought 2 pieces of UMI SUPER, I got it 5 days ago. On both of them I lost IMEI after various situations, but every time after restart. It happend 3 times on one and 2 times on second phone. Last time was clear system with last OTA 0616. Phone had minimum batery and switch off. I put it on charger and charging. Phone is stil off. When was battery 100% I switch on. Voala, no SIM detected, no IMEI. When I try engeneering mode for repair I have no  "CDS Information" in menu "Connectivity". All other cases is similar. Only one thing help me - factory reset. When I do factory reset - IMEI are back and all is fine. But it is no possible to use phone this way - every two days factory reset UMI please do somethin it is no normal. Once more two pieces of UMI SUPER same situation. (  Unbelievable.

Hello,
I bought a UMI SUPER , and I updated it as soon as I have received it . Unfortunately , I lost the IMEI . I used Engineering mode but not found  CDS information. I reflashed it with SPFT,  I used SN Writer , and I followed all the methods I 've seen on the web, without success . Is there any way to recover the IMEI , or it's dead .
Thank you for your help

(Sorry for my bad english)
