Major Touch Screen Issues Render Phone Useless

Hi I brought my gf this phone, only 1 day ago it arrived was all working fine updated FOTA to 20160606 Rom , last night she was using the phone and the notification bar just kept on coming down as if someone else is using the phone (ghost touches) I Restart the phone and it still happens on the lock screenyou can see the notification panel just going crazy, can use the phone for more than a few seconds and the erritc behavour starts again.

Never seen this before, screen become unresponsive

I got into recovery Mode and Wiped Data / Factory reset upon booting up have same touch issues, google start/login screens just seem to skip back and forward, the select wifi screen the phone was choosing random wifi connections lol Its just going crazy

like i said its as if im not using the phone its activation the touchscreen by itsself

So we are very disheartened by this as the phone was looking so good but now its a nightmare

What can I do ?

This is similar to the problem I had some time back when the OPO got released,  if you can wipe the phone in twrp  clear cache then flash the original Rom then wipe dalvik cache see if that has any ghost touches.  You can also enable developer mode and use the touch recognition software settings_about phone_keep tapping build number until it tells you your now a developer then go back to about phone and you should see developer options.

Thanks, I did get into the default recovery menu and wiped and factory reset but still having issues.  I do not have twrp installed at this stage as im hoping for an OTA like UMI just said above.

Im running windows 10 and im having difficults with the drivers to get SP Flash Tool to regonise the device, i install the MTk drivers with admin priviledges but spflashtool will not respond to flashing so i cant test that either :-(

Im using all the files from this site under SUPER ROM Section the 0607 rom + sp flash tool and mtk drivers

Try different usb port and also press the volume buttons as soon as you connect your phone to the pc. Last but not the least phone should be turned off before flashing.

Hi Bannie , I pressed vol down and up together when inserrting the USB cable with device powered off and download clicked on - Bar goes red then i get sound that somethings disconnected from the pc and Unknown Device in Windows Device manger

I now think i installed drivers correctly but flashing does nothing - red bar just stays there
