Sorry for the title, I'm sot sure I'm clear but when I desactivate Led notification in standby mode, there's no option to activate it in use ?
It will be nice

I would also like to have this feature.

Standby : light off
Screen on: light on

saves battery life

I think Jojo just meant generally the activating of the notification LED.
Your logic and need is quite acceptable of course but since the other two capacitive buttons also don't have backlights, the center button just looks identical.
To program that light source as a simple button backlight might not be so easy since the hardware itself is addressed as a notification light, that's just placed under the center button.
I'm going to contact the engineers about this case whether they can do something or not. I'll come back with the information if I get known something.

Sincerely,
Bence

Dear,
You can enter "Settings" and select "Harlequin LED Notification", then click the "Standby display", you can cancel the LED notification or select other LED color as the following pictures.

Thx, yes I know but when you select None for standbye, it disappears when you using it. There's no option to have it activate during using on phone and desactivate only for standbye mode.

Dear Jc47 and arjannl,

I'm afraid your logic just works in a different way than the software developer's one at this time. When your phone is in active use, you can see all notifications (messages, missed calls, battery status etc.) on the notification bar at the top of the screen. You need the extra notification of the Harlequin LED in standby mode only, when the display is dark. Anyway its power consumption is almost non-measurable.
I hope, you can understand.

Regards,
Bence

yes but it's just not a notification led ! it's also a home buttom, just a esthetic problem. I don't understand why if I choose to not have a permanent "breathing" of led, my home buttom doesn't have a back lighted when I use it. It's perhaps not the same logic that developpers but it's also logic ^^
If it was jus a notification led I would be agree with you, but it's not..
Nevermind, it was just a idea like another, not very important...

I'm also very interested in this feature which would be better than actual standby mode.
A good example of usage is at night I don't want led flashing and don't wanna change led mode before night and on morning.... Because it's not very convenient.
