Hello, few days ago, I received a pop up telling me a new update was available.
I accepted it, and It began.
A problem appeared ... The update stayed at 0%. I decided to cancel the update and start it back.
Since I canceled the update, I can't find it back in "Settings > About > Update"
If I search updates, it returns me to "About" like if there were no updates available
Can anybody helps me fixing this ? I would like to have the update.
Thanks.

Hi,

Could you tell us your current version? The latest version is v3.03-20160510. You also can install it with SP Flash Tool. Link: http://community.umidigi.com/thread-3110-1-1.html

Bence

Hello,
Thanks for you answer.
My current version is v3.03-20160415
Why do I have received the pop up to install the update recently instead of the 10 may ? (Release date)

Moreover, the SP Flash Tool will reset my phone. It will make a clean install. Is there anyway to keep apps and datas ?
Or I can wait few days ? I seen on another topic, Root will soon be broken. So many others OS than Marshmallow will be able to install ?

Thanks, Good day.

You have to enter the Wireless option to make your phone looked for updates.
You already can root your UMi Touch. Check this link: http://community.umidigi.com/thread-2962-1-1.html. Please note: a rooted device won't get FOTA updates.
The Rootjoy support (for installing custom ROMs) is another thing. That's still in development.
In the flash tool you can uncheck the userdata partition to keep your original data. However, for proper working I highly recommend to process a clean install.
If you formatted your memory card as internal storage, that also can interrupt the FOTA update process. Eject your card or format it as external before processing the FOTA update.

Bence

Hello, thanks for tour answer.
I won't format as external my SD Card because It would reset it, so I ejected it. It doesn't work. Since about 1h I'm trying. I can't have the update...
I think my last choice is doing a clean install with TWRP
Or, if you have an approximate date for the Rootjoy ? To perhaps install MIUI or FlymeOS
Or I can already install one of them but I'm not sure everything would be available
Thanks, waiting your answer.

Hi,

Maybe that's trivial to mention but you need a WiFi connection for FOTA update, not mobile data.
You can root and backup your phone with TWRP but there's no ROM compatible with that to install. I still suggest you to update your phone with SP Flash Tool. Then if you don't root your device, later FOTA updates will be able to be downloaded.

Hello, I tried both WiFi and Mobile Data, any of these gave me the avaibility to receive the update.
I think when I canceled the first time the update, it perhaps blocked me from totaly being able to download it ?
I won't root my phone, because I would not have any CUSTOM ROMS (these are not release yet, even if it should have been during april/may...)
I think I'll stay on that version, because I won't clean my phone.
I'll wait.
Do you know if we'll have the avaibility to install custom roms like UMI said during this month ? I bought the phone for this and we are not able yet to have them...
Thank you, regards.

I'm sorry but I have no specific information yet about custom ROMs and Rootjoy support. Anyway, Rootjoy cannot install new ROMs without wiping the user data.
Best regards

Hello, why UMI takes so much time breaking the root and sharing us customs ROMS while they can root easily with SuperSU ?
Thanks, regards.

Rootjoy manages the phones while they're running the Android system, not in recovery. That's not possible to root a running Android 6.
