Hello,

So I have the Umi super now for a couple of days. Really nice phone exept for the camera but I don't really care.

A bigger issue however is my battery drain problem. My umi super only lasts like one day. When I look at the settings, under battery I see that more than

30% of the battery is consumed by Wifi, which is really odd but anyway. I started googeling and apperently this issue is already known in the nexus 5.

There a pretty easy fix for it. -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/ ... -drain-6-0-t3219870You have to disable the

Wifi-scan option in the Wifi Advanced settings. But looks like umi removed it because I can't find it!

The fix is not usable in the umi super because umi has disabled these settings in there android versions!
I have already wiped all my data twice, but still no improvement.

So please umi fix it with an OTA update!! I'm really annoyed!

Hello, the WIFI disabling Option exists, but it's hidden. In the attached picture there is the solution. Personally tested: I've disabled bot persistent wifi and bluetooth scanning. Clean the cache by recovery, et voilà the wifi battery drain is history. Try yourself ;) 2 days lasting battery.

Yes I know 20mn is short, but in this example it's enough to see that wifi is always active despite of the option "wi fi not active in stanbye mode" choose. But now I desactive it manually it's fine. If you want I take a more long period without desactivate it manually and choose "wifi not active in standbye mode" but result will be the same ...

Overall quality is pretty bad.

Try to find wifi settings in Developers options, which may be activated in the next way:

The Wifi-scan option is non-existent by the MediaTek SDK. UMI has changed nothing about that. You should do a factory data reset and test your phone without installing any third party apps.

The first android 6.0.0 image from google also had this bug. They upgraded to 6.0.1 to adress this bug. However this bug is still present in the MTK image so u basicly need to get the 6.0.1 firmware. Or find the bug your self and fix it.I only get about two hours of on screen time while this phone has such a nice big battery! I could probably get about 6hours if there wasn't this bug. I hope you fix this soon in one of the updates!
