Umi friends,
I hope you can help me out.
Since a couple of hours my umi touch home buttons temperature is to hot to touch.
I can't put my finger long enough to unlock because it is to hot.
I tried searching through the forum, but could not find the same problem as this one.
Hope anyone can give me a solution or anything else about this issue?
Dear Jojo, the only thing is starting the device.
After a couple of minutes the home button is getting warmer and warmer.
I installed cpu monitor and i can see that cpu1 and 2 are at full 100%.
I did i factory reset and removed the sim card and sd card.
With a full blanco phone i did three ota updates.
Still no improvement and only that part/region of the phone is very hot.
Your issue is definitely weird and unique. Since there's nothing there that could dissipate heat, this high heat seems to be the sign of a short circuit. Maybe a bad soldering or a broken internal part causes it and the shorted current produces the high heat.
I seriously suggest you to stop using your phone immediately. Take it to a repair shop or return it to your reseller for a replacement.

is it possible that the circuit after the micro usb connector has as shorted connection?
i think there should be some kind of regulator after the connector that could dissipate some heat.
i try to contact my reseller but is there nothing else UMI as a company can do for it's customers?
