This is the SP Flash Tool release of the

Flash tool operation is recommended to experienced users only. If you are not yet an experienced flash tool user, please carefully read the flash tool tutorial before proceeding, and strictly follow each instruction.

Except if an authorized or responsible expert directly asked you to do that,

never format the flash chip of your device or you instantly lose your warranty!

UMIDIGI Power 5 receives all updates automatically via FOTA method. You need this tool only in case of emergency (if you've bricked your phone), if you want to apply a clean install or if you want to clear all root access and custom recovery to make your phone able to receive FOTA updates again. Moreover, flashing with SPFT is the only option to repair (replace) damaged system software.

Extract the .rar file before use. The scatter file (MT6765_Android_scatter.txt) is inside the extracted folder, together with the other components

VCOM driver: Windows 10 can automatically install it. Please make sure that your Windows is logged in with administrator rights and your computer has a working internet connection when first time connecting your phone.

Here's an optional solution to start the flashing process on your UMIDIGI Power 5 if the standard method doesn't work.

It's especially useful if your phone is bricked or is stuck in bootloop

1. Connect your phone to USB.

2. Start the flashing process with the Download button in the flasher app.

3. Press and hold the power button of your phone until the flashing process starts (red bar appears at the bottom of the app window), then release it. In this process you have to keep the power button pressed for about 10 seconds.

4. Wait until the flashing process finishes.

Kind request from users:
Please report any kind of new issues you experience after installing this update only if you've already flashed this ROM with SP Flash Tool in Firmware Upgrade mode. In rare cases a FOTA update can cause more or less serious malfunctions but that means only the update process went wrong, not a badly developed ROM. An updated stock ROM, especially related to the basic functions will not cause any new issues but will solve some of the existing ones.

I know you REALLY hate hearing from me - but there some bugs with the Power 5 along with the A11.. So, both phones after rebooting - default the notification sound to factory which is quite annoying. And both phones also have a camera bug that doesn't focus all the time; just some times. When trying to take pictures for references or for evidence, this is pretty bad. No matter what - just doesn't want to focus.

When I connect the Power 5 to my 2020 Corolla via USB, the radio displays USB Error - but when I connect any other device, it works fine. When I take my phone to the PC, I connect it and am able to transfer files and such. Maybe there's a bug with the COM? I would like to have this issue resolved as I have to use USB connection to display Scout GPS map view.

Both phones are also out of date for the Android Security patches. That would be useful to have these  both patched for the newest security updates; I've noticed ALL of my Umidigi phones do not ever have current security patches either. . .

Not sure if it just needs some revision, but have experienced many glitches with the update. USB Error on the radio is a must for me to have resolved.

I have also factory reset many, many, many times - and flashed the ROM with SP Flasher a few times with no resolution.

Same Here,
Power 5 is one of the worst device so far.
It reboots randomply few times per day, some days works normally, some others is a big mess.
Last version update is unuseful, no updated patch, no fixes at all.. Umidigi confirmed the very bad software support i had with old models in many years of productions... probably last time to buy a Umidigi device for me!

Absolutely my last device from them - I got both Power 5 and A11 for a review discount... wish I would have skipped that one!

I'm using my Power 3 right now - still has its issues, but works better than the new crap! I'm at a black screen right now... been playing with my A5Pro, on Lineage 11 right now. Still not what I would use for a 'daily driver'. I'm planning to switch carriers soon anyway, so I'll just go with what they have (T-Mobile).

If it wasn't for the lack of software and SECURITY updates... these would be solid phones!

The definition of insanity is literally doing the same things in hopes of a different outcome.. but here with Umidigi, this is a blind concept!

I would honestly look at the Huawei devices - I rocked the Y9 2019 until my service started to drop off. But, it's still getting security and system updates!
