Review UMI IRON (received from MyEfox) Sorry for english, i have used translator.. because of time ..
Packaging, Content, Aesthetics:
The box is gray, a cardboard square generously sized with external machining satin / embossed.
Box contents: 1 Power Supply with USB socket EU 5V 1A, 1 USB cable, 1 clip to extract sim tray
- External dimensions delo smartphone enough for a compact 5.5 "; it measures 152.3 x 76.2 x 7.9 mm for just over 148g of weight.
- Construction of good quality and aluminum with excellent treatment and touch & feel ..
- On the left side we find the volume rocker on the top and the power button below, buttons generally have a good feeling.
- On the right side we find the removable tray for 2 nano nano sim sim or 1 + 1 micro sd
- On the upper side are the audio jacks
- On the lower side we find the USB Type C and the main microphone
- In the back up we find the camera 13Mpixel Sony IMX214 (protruding), the flash LED dual tone (decentralized on the left), the biometric fingerprint sensor, the second microphone for noise reduction in call / audio recording and speakers positioned in the center (the particular form of the non-planar back helps in this way not to stifle the audio device on the table).
- In the front we find the earpiece at the top, the camera 8Mpixel OV8885, the LED flash and the light sensor / proximity / heartbeat; down the LED notification Red / Green / Blue skyline very nice. The soft keys are touch-screen.
- Cover not removable (for removal should be removed six screws of the frame side) aluminum; the absence of special processes makes it slippery when your hands are dry. However good ergonomics for the rounded shape and the good weight distribution.
- Outer pane with pre-applied film unfortunately no oleophobic treatment, so be prepared with films made of tempered glass of good quality or cmq must clean it regularly.
- Display brightness is very good, good viewing angle; LCD screen with excellent sharpness and color well reproduced by category.
- Precise Touch, multitouch 5 touches, writing rapidly and with Swype function that you type with multi-finger (used TouchPal keyboard)
- Two sim slots: Nano 4G Sim (missing the 20 800Mhz band used by Wind).
- Presence MicroSD slot with capacity tested up to 64Gb (but you will lose the use of the second sim).
- Battery is not removable 3100 / 3350mAh which appears to show good behavior.
- Android 5.1 with slight customization UMI but pretty much stock.
- Root of factory preinstalled with supersu
- Open the app and switch between apps very quickly .. stock browser with a few bumps as always (council Chrome which is excellent).
- Management of excellent 16Gb of internal ROM, which are available in a 12GB partition for apps and data.
- Excellent management ram 3Gb by Android 5.1 .. more than 2.1GB of RAM vacated after loading some apps into memory at startup.
Connectivity:
WiFi b / g / n with no problem hooking stable, good power.
BT 4 tested pairing with headsets and car, no problems
OTG: Used Adapter USB Type-C Micro USB we were not able to elect USB keys or Otg.
GPS: Great for quick fix of satellites we have not tested the navigation.
Camera:
- Main camera 13 megapixel Sony IMX214 f / 2.4 that produces discrete shots in daylight; good focus and powerful flash; camera interface modified slightly from UMI; when using the flash or light conditions unfavorable, the quality of the shots decreases and introduces a lot of noise ..
- Good performance video, good focus.
- Secondary camera for Selfie 8 megapixel f / 2.2 with LED flash; the quality is sufficient, but not a miracle!
Bench:
Antutu 5.7.1 33380 points and 6 Antutu with 38000 points; result in line with other cpu quad core MT6753 Octa Core 1.3Ghz.
Geekbench 3 with about 2869 points in the multi-core test and 619 in the single-core test.

Geekbench Battery Test (over 7 hours and 30 'screen on time, I would say good!).

Audio:
Good sound quality, slightly too high volumes which tend to distort at maximum.
Audio speaker at maximum volume slightly scratchy, position the speaker might seem unhappy if you usually place the device on the table playing, but that given the shape of the cover and not lose too much power.
Good vibe and good sound with headphones.
Extra Features:
Umi has implemented some features "innovative" as the EyePrint ID to unlock the device by detecting the eye area by the front camera, unlocking via fingerprint reader Touch-Id on the back and the function for Heart Rate control heartbeat and stress level through front sensor.
While the EyePrint ID must say that its operation is very incomplete and imprecise (above all in the case of illumination of the face is not optimal), the Touch-Id works very well allowing automatic unlocking even display off.
The Heart Rate function that measures the state of stress seems to work quite correctly, although we must deepen comparing the result with specific gauges.
Conclusions:
PRO:
- FULL HD screen, high brightness, color and viewing angle of the display.
- Miravision for customization saturation / white balance / contrast.
- Good the processor usage of premium materials and the search for distinctive features such as flash front, rear Fingerprint Scanner, EyePrint Id and sensor heartbeat.
- Led Notification skyline down with outstanding design (with green and red and blue)
- Double tap to unlock the screen and off-screen gestures functioning properly.
-Fingerprint Scanner that works well with a high success rate.
- Accessories such as covers and films already available for your specific model Pro (different from the first Iron for the rear hole for Touch-Id)
- 4G bands 1,3,5,7,8,38,39,40,41.
- Dual SIM (nano sim sim) (Mico Sd usable giving up one of the two SIM)
- 3Gb of RAM and CPU Octa Core MT6753 1.3GHz always reactive.
- 3000mAh battery that is about real, allowing approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes of screen on the average day of use with 4G / 3G and pleasant five hours with free WIFI only
- 16Gb rom available in single partition (11.8Gb available for apps and data)
AGAINST:
- There is a Dual Sim in the strict sense of the term, you'll have to give it to the second sim, if you want to put a Micro Sd.
- Lack of 4G 800Mhz band 20 that penalizes the use of 4G especially with Wind (and in some areas even Tim and Vodafone)
- Cameras not live up to expectations; the front with LED flash is the one that seems to disappoint more!
- Battery is not removable with power provided by 1A does not have a fast charge, but a standard that impega about 3 hours to bring the battery from 1 to 100%.
- Film supplied retaining fingerprints and makes the screen very reflective ..
- No extra film screen protector included, no headphones in the box
- Softkeys screen that steal space
- No Compass and Gyroscope
- No OTG
- Physical buttons all positioned on the left, not very practical when used to cover booklet
- USB Type-C will be the new standard in the future, but right now it forces you to bring along your cable for charging, otherwise be unable to load it with cable / charger Friends (Micro USB)
- Design identical to the previous model Iron except for the fingerprint scanner on the back.
- Incompatibility with some apps already seen in the past months on the first Iron and still unresolved (Paypal, Tim My, My Vodafone, QR Droid and some others)
