Trying to resurrect Super

This is the state my phone's been in for the past three months:

When I turn on my phone it shows the UMI logo and immediately boots into TWRP.

With my phone turned off, if I connect it to the computer, it immediately turns on and boots into TWRP. I do have access to internal storage on my computer apparently.

How do I get it to run normally? Should I transfer an OS zip to the phone's internal storage and try to install from TWRP? If so, which OS zip and where do I download it from? The SP Flash Tool doesn't work as it doesn't seem to recognize that the phone is connected to the computer.

I was able to get the SP Flash Tool and the MT65x3 USB VCOM drivers working on Windows XP. It was not easy to get my hands on a notebook with XP. I couldn't get either to work on Windows 7 or Windows 10.

Using the SP Flash Tool I was able to install the earliest ROM for the UMI SUPER (20160513). I will try to install the earliest Android 7 ROM now and upgrade from there. I'll let you know how it turns out.
