Google Assistant doesn't work

So I succesfully installed Google Assistant trough the beta versions of the google app, and the google play service.
Google Assistant is correctly installed becaus I have the settings of it in the google app.
To activate Google Assisant, you need to press, and hold the home button, but when I do that, it take's me to the recent apps menu.
How can I fix this?

If you've got access to settings you could activate hotword and start the assistant by voice.

I like the long-press home feature, so i've discovered this:

• root (sorry)
• activate sw-buttons
• change build.prop item to "ro.agold.nav_home_long_recent=0"
  

sw-home is now working like stock and fingerprint is still fine.
