I read somewhere that people complain that their old USB C cables doesn't work with umi plus e ?
Is it true ?
Where I can order new cable ? I need one for my dorm and one for my powerbank.

Yes, it's true, because UMi Plus and Plus E's USB Type-C ports are a bit longer than the usual ones, which makes common USB Type-C cables unusable because they just won't stick in properly. You can buy it here.
