Does anyone know how I can use a micro SD card with the phone? I've got a 64GB and a 128GB and I can't get either one to work. I tried both formatting options, internal storage and external, but none of them work. During the formatting it does say that my SD card seems to a bit slow (it's a transcend card) but I don't see how this should be an issue. The formatting does finish with the words that the card is now working.

Then when I go to setting-USB&storafge SD card, it says the card is corrupt.

If I format the card on the PC, the phone won't recognise. If I format it on the phone, the computer won't see it. If I plug my phone in to the PC via USB and file transfer the windows explorer will see the phone but only say it's got 64 GB storage (the phone's own storage), regardless of how I formatted the sd card.

One of the USP for this phone for me was to use it with a large SD card and replace my ipod. But I can't see how I could get it to work?
Please can anyone help?

Thanks,
Julia

Dear Julia,

According to the information, that you've provided, you most probably really have corrupted (fake) memory cards. To check that, I suggest you to put them in a USB card reader, try to format in windows and even if you don't fail at the formatting, copy a such amount of data to your cards, that fully uses their capacity, then try to read back the whole data.

Regards,
Ben

Hi Ben,

thank you for your help. It is a branded product (transcend), both are, and they should have been brand new. I wouldn't have thought that this is the problem given that many people seem to have issues getting SD card accepted, or have these now been rectified?

How should I format them in windows, which format? I've got windows 7.

I have a Transcend 64gb working fine. Formatted it in phone and it worked for either of the config options (internal memory or portable)
